The Artura is McLaren's first hybrid supercar — a twin-turbo V6 paired with an electric motor for instant response, replacing the V8 in the brand's junior model for the first time.
The V6-plus-electric layout is lighter than the V8 it replaces, which shows up in how eagerly the car changes direction — McLaren's traditional strength has always been handling over raw power, and the Artura continues that.
At 3,500 AED/day it's the more affordable of our two McLarens — the newer hybrid model versus the 720S Spider's outgoing V8.
680 HP, rear-wheel drive, and an automated sequential gearbox add up to 3 seconds to 100 km/h and a top speed of 330 km/h — figures that put it among the quickest cars in our entire fleet, and the reason it's usually the first car serious enthusiasts ask about.
Expect a 5,000 AED deposit on collection, released 20–30 days later once the fine-publication window closes. Extra kilometres beyond the daily 250 km allowance are charged at 20 AED each, which is worth planning around if the trip involves a longer drive out of the city.
